New Orleans, LA (2023)
In February I took my very first solo trip to New Orleans. I was so nervous because I had never been anywhere alone. What would I do? Where would I go? Would I be bored not having my friends there? All I can say is that I was worried for nothing. I had an absolute blast and would do it all over again.
I stayed at a hostel on Canal St. called Hi New Orleans Hostel and I definitely was not disappointed. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, they had a food kitchen for cooking and storing food and the people were nice. I also loved that we had lockers that could only be unlocked with our key card so that made me feel safe leaving my belongings there.
The amount of talent I saw in these art galleries and even on the streets was amazing. Everywhere I turned there was someone performing or selling something. If you looking for art galleries to explore definitely check out Royal St. And the food was amazing. I tried crawfish etouffee, boiled crawfish, blackened redfish and more. All in all this experience was so peaceful and I'm grateful I got to experience this city and what it has to offer.
